Bichromate gum – one of the oldest photographic techniques
Bichromate gum (or simply gum) is one of the first techniques that allowed the faithful reproduction of reality thanks to light-sensitive matter. Its lineage dates back to France at the end of the 19th century. In pre-war Poland, the masters of this method were e.g. Jan Bułhak and Marian Dederko. To this day, it enjoys interest among both artists and art collectors.
